Filing options
When it’s time to file, here are your real options
RenewMark tells you when to act. It doesn’t file for you — so here’s an honest look at how to actually get it done, cheapest first.
File it yourself at the USPTO
You pay only the government filing fee — currently $325 per class for a Section 8, or $650 per class for a combined Section 8&9 renewal (verify the current amount below). The forms are guided, and for a straightforward mark most owners can complete them in under an hour.
File at USPTO.gov → Check current feesUse a filing service or attorney
If your mark has complications — a changed owner, goods no longer in use, a specimen problem, or you simply want a professional to handle it — a filing service or trademark attorney can prepare and submit the declaration for you, on top of the USPTO fee.
Comparison links to specific services will appear here once our filing-service partnerships are live. We’ll only ever list options we’d use ourselves, and we’ll disclose any affiliate relationship plainly.
However you file — verify first
Whatever route you choose, confirm your deadline and status on TSDR first, and never pay a fee quoted in a mailed “notice” without checking it against the official USPTO fee schedule. Not sure a notice is real? Run it through our scam checker.
