Free renewal deadline checker

Check your trademark renewal deadlines — free

Pulled straight from the USPTO record. No account, no email — just your Section 8/9 timeline and what happens if you miss it.

Either number works — both are on your registration certificate, or search your mark on USPTO TSDR. Try a known public record: .

What the checker shows you

  • Your Section 8 declaration window (years 5–6) and every Section 8&9 renewal (year 10, then every 10 years).
  • The exact grace-period cutoff — the last day the mark can still be saved.
  • Whether the registration is currently live, and any office action, opposition, or cancellation on record.
  • The estimated USPTO filing fee, with a link to verify the current amount.

A free report now. Optional reminders later.

After the lookup, you can download the dates to your calendar, bookmark a shareable report link, or confirm an email address for free statutory-deadline reminders. The paid watch adds daily official-status checks, delivery tracking, a verified backup contact, and a monthly heartbeat.

Common questions

How do I check when my trademark renewal is due?

Enter the USPTO serial or registration number above. RenewMark reads the live record and calculates the maintenance timeline from the official registration date. You can also confirm the next filing in the record’s Maintenance tab on USPTO TSDR.

How often do U.S. trademarks need maintenance?

For most registrations: Section 8 between years 5–6, combined Section 8 and 9 between years 9–10, then another combined filing every ten years. Read the plain-English timeline for exceptions and grace periods.

Is this really free?

Yes. The report and calendar file require no account. Free email reminders require one confirmation click so nobody can enroll your inbox without permission. Daily status monitoring is the paid service.
