Trademark notice safety

Verify the notice against official sources.

The former keyword scorer is offline. It could confuse legitimate USPTO language with a private solicitation, so RenewMark will not issue automated “scam” verdicts until sender, fee, deadline, and trademark-record verification are built in.

Use this safe three-step check

  1. Open your trademark directly in USPTO TSDR; do not use the notice’s link or QR code.
  2. Compare the requested amount with the official USPTO fee schedule.
  3. Compare the sender and payment instructions with the USPTO’s scam-recognition guidance.

Still uncertain? Record a support request before paying anyone.

The one rule that keeps you safe

Government filing fees are paid to the USPTO through an official USPTO filing system, including Trademark Center. A private service may charge a separate service fee, but its invoice is not a USPTO fee notice. Before paying, look up the mark in TSDR and compare the deadline and fee with official sources.
